Dual Diagnosis

Our comprehensive approach addresses co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

What is Dual Diagnosis?

Dual diagnosis refers to the condition of having both a mental health disorder and a substance use disorder simultaneously. People with dual diagnosis experience a range of complex and interrelated challenges because each disorder can worsen or impact the other, creating unique treatment needs. Common examples include a person with depression who also has an alcohol use disorder or an individual with an anxiety disorder who struggles with prescription drug misuse.
