About Me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in St. Louis, Missouri, providing services to adults and young adults across the state. With more than 11 years of experience in the mental health field, I bring a compassionate and well-rounded perspective to therapy, shaped by years of supporting individuals through complex challenges, meaningful transitions, and personal growth. My approach recognizes the whole person and the unique experiences, relationships, and environments that shape their story.
I specialize in supporting adults navigating life transitions, identity, LGBTQ+ concerns, women’s health, medical diagnoses, grief and loss, divorce, and career changes. These experiences can often bring uncertainty, questions about identity, or a sense of feeling disconnected from who you are or where you are headed. I am passionate about creating a safe, affirming space where LGBTQ+ clients can explore identity, relationships, family dynamics, life changes, and personal growth without judgment. My goal is to help clients feel supported in showing up authentically, strengthening their sense of self, and creating a life that feels meaningful and aligned with who they are.
As a former college athlete, I also have a unique passion for working with athletes and former athletes navigating performance pressures, transitions, and identity beyond their sport. Athletics can shape confidence, relationships, routines, and a strong sense of identity, making transitions both during and after competition especially challenging. I enjoy helping athletes and young adults separate their sense of self-worth from performance and achievement, build confidence, strengthen life skills, and discover who they are beyond the expectations placed on them.
My therapeutic approach is holistic, person-centered, and goal-oriented, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, grief and loss work, and trauma- informed care. I believe therapy should provide both a supportive space to feel heard and an opportunity to create meaningful change. My style is calm, easygoing, and collaborative, while also offering encouragement and challenge when clients are ready to move outside of their comfort zones. I believe vulnerability is a meaningful part of healing, and I strive to help clients deepen self-awareness, recognize their strengths, build confidence, and reconnect with who they are at their core.
